Description:  Each corn bag is approximately 8x10 inches, and weighs 1.8 to 2 lbs.  I make all bags with the same dimensions and quantity of corn, to ensure uniform heating from one bag to the next.  No scents or herbs are added, due to sensitivity in some people.  All you get is 100% natural corn.  Each corn bag comes with a removable cover that can be washed.  All corn bags are pretreated in the microwave to kill any mold spores, eggs, or hidden critters.

Now offering neck size corn bags!  These are approximately 8" X 20" and weighs between 3.6 to 3.8 lbs.  These cost $13 and I can fit up to 4 in a shipment.

Corn Bags are fabric bags, filled with corn.  They can be microwaved and used in place of heating pads, or they can be frozen and used in place of ice packs.  Unlike heating pads, corn bags won't continue to heat up.  They generally stay warm for about an hour, but in bed under the covers, your body heat will often help them stay warm for several hours.  Corn bags aren't tied down to a plug, they're portable, perfect for wheelchairs, your recliner, or in your chair at the cold office.  Just lay one on your lap, and warm up in a jiffy.  The large femoral arteries that run through your thighs will pick up the heat, as your heart pumps it throughout your body, to warm you up all over.  Put one at the end of your bed, and warm up those cold feet.  They feel great on your shoulders and stiff neck.  They're nice for breastfeeding moms who have sore breasts.  Use them for muscle aches, fibromyalgia, and arthritis pain.  In the hospital, nurses can use it to warm up an arm before starting an IV site.

Precautions:  Don't overheat corn bags.  It's better to reheat it when it cools down, and only takes a minute to reheat.  Overheating dries out the kernels, and can even scorch them, causing your corn to "wear out" prematurely or burn someone.  Don't use corn bags on infants or anyone who can't remove it from themselves, or who can't move themselves away from it.  Don't put corn bags on places where people can't feel if it's too hot, such as the feet of a diabetic patient who can't feel their feet or legs very well.  If there is any chance of sweat or body fluids leaking onto the corn bag while it's being used, take it out of the fabric cover, put it inside a thick Ziploc freezer bag (not the thinner sandwich bags), then put the fabric cover back on.  Be sure to open the seal on the Ziploc bag whenever you put it in the microwave.

Fabrics:  I use 100% cottons only, in a smoke-free, pet free environment.  The inner corn bags are made with white muslin, and the outer decorative cotton slipcovers don't require scratchy velcro.  Please let me know what colors or patterns you like from the pictures.  I buy cottons at JoAnn's, or Hancock's, so if they have something in particular that you like, please let me know and I'll try to find it for you.

I have over 200 fabrics to chose from.  Also, if you would like to make them yourself, just follow the link that says pattern and it has all the instructions.
